1. What appears to be the company’s mission statement?


- Gateway Company’s mission appears of their hard work to make consumer
more comfortable in terms of internet access. It means they give our great choices.

2. Who are Gateway’s target customers? What leads you to believe this? What new
customers groups should Gateway consider? Why?
- Gateways Company target customer are the company who made software’s
that fit the Gateways model, and not only the software companies, but everyone
involved in the technology industry. It is also obvious in this generations technologies
likes Laptops, Computers are very important in all matter. That’s why they are so
effective when it comes to marketing. New target costumers? Well, since Gateways
Company focus only in computers and laptops. Why not smartphones also? There are a
whole lot of consumers of smartphones compared to computers. That means, Gateway
will expand their territory when it comes to consumer. The wider the territory, the higher
profit.

3. What market position does gateway appear to be seeking?


- Gateway, Inc. is one of the world best-known technology brands. They started
with a limited amount of capital. However, due to their desire of being the leading
electronic device provider, they come up with various necessary strategic plans and
marketing techniques just to reach their perspective or their mission. They wanted to be
the leading integrator of personalized technology even though that is sounds too
difficult. Knowing that they only had a little beginning capital. They somehow fell from
the line, losing much of their revenues, and face a lot of complaints but they still
manage to bring back their business stability despite of the rapid raising number of
competitors.

4. What can you determine about Gateway’s product strategy?


- Businesses sparingly above the horizon of all the other business must have a
great product and in order for them to have a great product, they should have a clear
strategy for the market and customers. Whatever your strategy, it will always define the
direction of your product and business. Gateway made a partnership with another
known brand "acer" to improve their sale and uplift their business. They also designed
an online portal where the buyer and the seller can interact and make a deal about
purchasing a certain product. They have established a great marketplace to fleeter the
transaction and to avoid hassle for both parties. Due to the modernization, their way of
selling their products is accurate and well planned because with their techniques they
have made an improvement and made their sales rises and their products known and
being patronize.

5. What can you determine about Gateway’s pricing strategy?


- The Gateway’s pricing strategy is to offer an affordable/low price to their
customers but the quality is still the same, it is effective strategy because they can able
to get the satisfaction they want from their customers by offering a cheaper price to
them reason why their company leads to success.

6. What new distribution tactics has Gateway recently followed? Do they appear to be
successful? How did you evaluate the successfulness of their distribution strategy?
- The Gateway company brands sold through leading retailers and channel
partners in different countries and the expansion of the list of markets in South America
and Asia pacific regions. They appeared to be successful because of their company
achievements to become a well-known technology brands that satisfied their customers.
Their distribution strategy is effective because the Gateway Company grown as a well-
known technology brand in the world with their objective that is to help people improve
their lives through technology, customers are more persuaded to choose their
brand/company.

7. What do you perceive Gateway’s chief strategic advantage to be? Chief


disadvantage?
- Based on the history pf Gateway, Inc. we are able to make a perception about
how the management manage the business or what are the advantage and
disadvantage of the business chief strategy. Firstly, their advantage from their
competitors is that they had already established their image to the world of technology
by producing quality and innovated techno products. Because of what they had
established they can easily find connections or a partners to help their business to
prosper. Another one is that, despite of their well-known brand name and brand image
they still offer lowered prices to their customers. In the other hand, the disadvantage is
that, there are a lot of technology providers that may hinder them on their way to
success.
