    SUMMER CLASS FOR KIDS_WEEK 2

    Duration: from 8:30 a.m-11 a.m


    The 1st class from 8:30 a.m-9:45 a.m.
    The 2nd class from 9:45 a.m-11 a.m

    Date: 4 July 2019

    Venue: I Can Cam 1

    Level of students: Starters

    Size: 25-30 students/each class

    Objectives: After the class, student will:

    + learn the lesson with fun activities

    + have chances to interact with native teacher

    + build up team work skill

    + improve their pronunciation

    + practice their presentation skill

    Week 2_Topic: Colours and shapes


    Warm-up activity: Teacher and students will sing some songs to greet and start the class with fun and
    happy atmosphere (Hello! How do you do! And/or If you happy or Teacher’s choice.

    Activity 1: Review the names of 7 colours and some shapes (Flashcards)

    Activity 2: ARTS AND CRAFTS + Team work (Group of 5 students) My lovely house

    Activity 3: Team work (Group of 5 students) Hidden pictures

    Note: + Staff at I Can Cam will prepare teaching aids and handouts for teacher-in-charge.

    + TA will support the teacher during the class and keep the arts and crafts school things.
    My lovely house
    Topic: Color Lesson 1: My lovely house
    Aim:
    To make a house with the learned shapes: triangle, square, oval, circle, rectangle. Review
    Color vocabulary
    Grammar and functions:
    It is a/an …….., It is + a/an + adjective color + shape
    Materials needed:
    +Printed template
    +Scissors
    +Crayons
    +Glue
    Time: 60 minutes

    1. Warm-up (10 ms):


    + Ask some students to imagine and draw their house to the board
    + Introduce attractively a house with shapes on the board (Ex: Teacher draws a
    triangle, draws a square… and asks learners what is this? for each of drawing until
    completing the house.

    2. Procedure (35 ms):


    +Print out the template (A3 paper size)
    +Color and decorate with free choice and cut out the template pieces
    +Glue the cut pieces in order of a house
    +Glue the template onto the cardboard or the children’s book
    Note: Feel free to decorate further with sparkles, sparkle glue, sequins or anything
    else the kids can think of.
    3. Post activity (15 ms):
    +Invite students to display their work in front of class and may instruct them
    present their house with introduction “ This is a house with a red triangle, a
    yellow square, two black circles…
