    Q1.Answer the following questions:
    1. Explain exogenous process.
    Ans. Exogenous process involves forces on or above the earth’s surface. They are
    responsible for breaking of rocks and erosion of the surface resulting in modification of
    major relief features like mountains, plateaus, valleys.
    2. What is a mountain range?
    Ans. A series of mountain is called mountain range.
    3. Give the examples of fold mountains.
    Ans. The Himalayas, the Rockies
    4. Why are fold mountains refer as Residual mountains?
    Ans. Since their altitude has been greatly reduced by various natural agents through
    different process of denudation so they are referred as residual mountains.
