4- We connect the diodes in parallel in order for the current to

branch according to the law of the current divider to ensure
that no higher current passes through the diode.
5- We connect a resistance(Potentiometer) that controls the passing
voltage so that only the required voltage passes.
6- Connecting diodes in series:
 will increase the forward voltage of the resultant diode.
 will cause an open circuit until peak inverse voltage
(smallest diode) is applied on total resultant.

Connecting diodes in parallel:

 will increase the current carrying capacity of the diode.
 will not get you a resultant diode conduction in both
sides.
7- The important parameters of diode
MAXIMUM FORWARD CURRENT
 PEACK INVERSE VOLTAGE (PIV)
EMPERATURE AND THERMAL RESISTANCE
Maximum reverse current (Leakage current)
Frequency.
