Statement of Solidarity with the students of HPNLU, Shimla

Tehzeeb, the Cultural Committee along with the student fraternity of

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow stands in
solidarity with the students of Himanchal Pradesh National Law
University, Shimla in their protest against the administrative
authorities demanding basic and proper academic, co-curricular and
other facilities like hygienic food, safe drinking water, etc. The
University administration is reluctant to pay heed towards the
university affairs and issues without any reasonable explanation
being provided for the same.

The cowardly acts of the administrative authorities of the Himanchal

Pradesh National Law University are witnessed by all of us on
different media and social media platforms. They are simply
inhumane and timid on Administration’s part. Their act of oppression
of the student community awaits serious repercussions for them in
near future.

Students are facing so many struggles other than the ones that a
student faces in normal college life that to list and address them, a
12 paged document can be availed by any concerned University
student. We stand in support of the student fraternity of Himanchal
Pradesh National Law University and wait for justice to get delivered
soon.

Our faith lies in the faith and courage of the brave students who
stood up and questioned such Administrative people to make efforts
for a better living (or primarily survival) in the student’s first
dwelling place for half a decade, their University.
