Position: Quality Supervisor 

Summary:  With the minimum of management supervision, the position has the objective to
perform quality engineering functions including implementation, administration and
maintenance of the Quality System. Develops solutions and strategies to a wide range problem,
working closely with the manufacturing to implement and maintain Risk Mitigation Actions,
SPC, PFMEA, Control Plan, APQP, MSA and DOE among some other techniques to continuously
improve processes. The target is to analyze the product manufacturing performance related to
Internal rejections/scrap and rework, the effectiveness of the quality system and coordinates
quality related issues with customers, suppliers, and other functional disciplines.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
1.- Responsible for assignment in order to maintain the correct and effective follow up of the
Operational Quality System along all manufacturing and support sites of the organization
(Components).
2.- Work with the upper management level (staff) to ensure that customer satisfaction is
maintained for product quality, delivery, and continuous improvement.
3.- Establish and maintain customer relationships and provide proactive customer
communication as directed by the organization Quality Leader.
4.- Improve customer quality performance indicators like Customer Scorecards, Escapes,
Disclosures, by working with sites and functions (e.g., manufacturing, engineering, materials,
etc.) to identify key process/product drivers, then developing and helping implement
improvement action plans.
5.- Assure that the Basic Quality Systems are implemented and being effective at each
manufacturing location.
6.- Support Reliability Engineering activities in the projects in the Design Phase (APQP
activities) during all phases to successfully and flawlessly launch new products.
7.- Develops and implements Quality Assurance plans based on Customer specific
requirements.
8.- Schedules and assists in Systems/Product/Process/Tooling audits and assures that the audit
meets all Quality Assurance standards. Insure reaction plans for any and all findings per current
procedures.
9.- Full involvement in teams (leading and participating) for the Quality Operating System
(QOS).
10.- Participate in the development of corporate reporting of cost of poor quality and PPM's, as
well as coordinate and maintain existing bases of quality systems.
 

Qualifications:
·          Bachelor’s Degree on Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical and Production or related plus
five years of experience in the quality field.
·          Experience of 4 to 6 years on automotive manufacturing Industry (harnesses, wire or
molding industry desirable).                          
·          Knowledge of quality core tools as PPAP, PFMEA, DFMEA, PCP, MSA, APQP, SPC and
Flow Diagram.  
·          Knowledge of ISO/TS16949 specification and Customer specific requirements desirable. ·
·          Knowledge /experience with problem solving methodologies.
·          Knowledge and application of statistical analysis methods, and 6sigma tools.

The principle place of work is Torreón, Coahuila.


This position reports directly Quality Assurance Manager.
