Carrie’s mum has a message board at home. She sticks memos


(notes) to it with magnets like these:

Carrie took the plastic cover off one of the memo magnets. It
looked like this inside:
Q. 1: This drawing is a cross-section of the memo magnet. It shows
what the magnet would look like if you cut it in half.
Label the diagram using words from the box.

Q. 2: Carrie did an investigation in school, and found out that
magnets do not work through iron.
She could only make paper clips stick to one side of the memo
magnet.
Draw a paper clip on the diagram to show which side the paper clip
would stick to.

Q. 3: Carrie tested two of the magnets to see if they would stick


together.
The diagrams show what she found out.
Finish off the sentences to explain Carrie’s results.
