East OF THE Piphany
East OF THE Piphany
T he Epiphany of the Lord is one of the great solemnities of the liturgical year. Traditionally
celebrated on January 6, the twelfth day after Christmas, it is so important that in many countries,
including Canada and the United States, it is transferred to the nearest Sunday. Why is it so
important? Because it is our celebration. At Christmas, we celebrate the Word made flesh.
At the Epiphany, we celebrate the news getting out – the revelation of this amazing reality to
the world.

A WORD OF THANKS
The Christmas season has provided many opportunities to be the recipient of your
kindness and thoughtfulness to myself and the parish staff. Please accept my thank
you and be assured of my sincere appreciation. As we are so involved in the preparations
and making efforts to afford both a liturgical and a practical experience of Christmas for
others it is nice to be remembered.
