LESSON PLAN IN MATHEMATICS 2

Content Standards: The learner demonstrates understanding of whole numbers up to 1000,


ordinal numbers up tp 20th, decreasing order.
Performance Standards: The learner is able to recognize, represent compare, and order whole
numbers up to 1000 and money up tp php 100 in various forms and contexts.
Learning Competency: The learner visualizes and order numbers up tp 1000 in decreasing
order.

I.LEARNING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson the pupils will be able to,
a. Recognize numbers and ordering numbers in a decreasing order,
b. Perform the ordering numbers in a decreasing order.
C. Appreciate the importance of ordering numbers in our daily life.

Materials: Pictures, Philippine Money, Cartolina, Manila Paper, audio visual.

A. Review : Missing numbers
B. MOTIVATION: Sing a song “ Chika Ding” from 10- 1 numbers. What did you
observe from the song Chika Ding? Yes, the numbers are decreasing.

C. PRESENTATION OF THE LESSON


Now I want you to listen to the situation.
You’re on your way to go home from school. You saw a staircase and there are 10
steps to go down then suddenly there was an earthquake. What are you going to do? You
just stay and wait to stop or you go down from the staircase?
Decreasing or Descending Order

Explain what to do during calamities happen? ( DRRM)


Descending or Decreasing - is from largest to smallest.

Strategy 1 (POP UP GAME)


The student will choose one letter from the given mother tongue phrase. And then he or she
should sit down if the letter was mentioned.
Teacher: Unsa ang Decreasing/ Descending?
Gikan sa pinaka dako paingon sa pinakagamay nga numero.

Strategy 2 (RUMBLE NUMBERS)


GROUPINGS: The teacher will give a rumble numbers inside the envelope. The students will
go to the board and arrange the number in a decreasing order.

Strategy 3 (ORDER PLEASE)


The teacher will show the secret box. If they answered it correctly they will choose a number
from 1-10 and they will get a reward.
Arrange the following Philippine Money in a decreasing order.

V. GENERALIZATION
When the number on the left is greater than the number on the right, the number are
arranged in decreasing order.
