passion for sports continues to grow even though the lack of facilities in the area. Most of the sports
facilities in Ormoc are too old and having too problems. In the year 2016, Ormoc City hosted the Eastern
Visayas Regional Athletic Association (EVRAA) meet but can’t accommodate the number of athletes that
will be using the area because of the lack of sports facilities, equipments and dormitories. This study will

as their primary recreational facility that will give positive healthful lifestyle to veer away the youth from
bad vices or drugs. The study will provide a structure that will accommodate the needed sports facility for
the number of athletes that will be using the area. The study may inspire the government to give more
attention to sports and provide subsides, programs, and support system.

The location of the current sports complex is in the Ormoc City Central School, Carlos Tan St.
Poblacion area of Ormoc City. The community will generate income because of the business
opportunities related to the sports activity around the sports complex.

renewable energy will be applied to the design. A facility will stand on its own and will not be dependent
from the local government to spend a huge amount of money for its maintenance. With the advancement
of technology, new sports equipment, this facility will captivate and entertain the public. These
advancements are still to be investigated by the researchers in developing the study.

Redevelop an innovatively and sustainably facility that will provide functional infrastructure for
multi-sports facility for sports events and trainings and will maximize the land while serving its function.
This facility will promote social and cultural integration in the city.

RESOURCES:

There are a number of sources that can supplement the study the researchers are pursuing.
Examples of such sources are articles about the lack of facilities in Philippine Sports, according to former
Senator Nikki Coseteng, “I think the Philippine sports is messy because our structures for the
development of Philippine sports are very weak, in some areas invisible, in some areas underdeveloped
and in some areas, very well supported, in other fields almost even totally unavailable.’’
