It is my great pleasure to recommend Mayra Lua Reyes to be an intern at your law firm. I have known
Mayra for four years and was delighted to serve as her academic advisor at El Capitan High School.
During the time I have known Mayra, I have watched her transform into an extraordinary individual who
excels in both her academic and personal pursuits with a sense of ambition like no other.

Mayra is a very diligent high school student with a 4.42 GPA and ranks within the top 1% of her class at
El Capitan High. She has taken a total of five Advanced Placement courses, two Honors courses, and
eight college courses during her high school tenure. She has also been involved in the Freshman and JV
Volleyball Team and has volunteered in her community as the Public Coordinator for the Merced Youth
Council and as the President of the Interact Rotary Club. Mayra not only exhibits skills of sportsmanship
and communication but leadership and critical thinking as well.

Mayra’s charismatic and kind personality serves her well as a student at El Capitan High. She is
well-loved by her peers, as well as all those who had the pleasure of teaching her. As one of the top
students in all of her courses, she never hesitates to help others understand challenging concepts.
Nevertheless, her desire to help others further extends to her local community as she has acquired over
300 hours of community service.

Mayra will be a first-generation college student. She has been able to persevere over financial and
personal barriers in her life while never losing focus on her educational goals. Now she is ready to
embark a new journey in her life by hopefully earning a position at your association. I am confident that
