Modeling of under Voltage Relay using MATLAB

Objectives:
At the end of this lab session students will be able to:

 Implement “Under voltage Relay” by using Matlab Simulink Libraries.

 Set the “time and voltage Setting” of Under voltage Relay.
 Co-ordination of Under voltage relay

5.0Under Voltage Relay

Under current relay is one which monitors the voltage only and gives trip signal to the circuit
breaker in faulty condition. In case of faults, if voltage in the system decreases from its normal
value it will open the breaker.

5.1 Laboratory Task

Implement under voltage relay in Matlab Simulink that protect the system in faulty conditions.
After sensing the fault relay should give a trip signal to the circuit breaker.
