AGUIAR TOWN OF RIVERHEAD __ Tet: (631) 727-3200/ Fax: (631) 727-6712 Town Supervisor 200 Howell Avenue, Riverhead, NY 11901 www,townofriverheadny.gov EXTENDING AND MODIFYING AN EXECUTIVE ORDER DECLARING A DISASTER EMERGENCY WHEREAS, by Executive Order issued on March 12, 2020, pursuant to Section 24 of the Article 2-B of the Executive Law of the State of New York, a disaster emergency in the Town of Riverhead was declared and said Executive Order has been continued and modified; and WHEREAS, the current Executive Order 2020SOE-9 will now end at midnight on April 26, 2020; and WHEREAS, the confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus continue to rise in the Town of Riverhead and remain a serious threat to health, welfare and safety of the residents and visitors of the Town of Riverhead; and WHEREAS, the State of New York has continued and modified Executive Order No. 202 dated March 7, 2020. NOW, THEREFORE, I, Yvette M. Aguiar, Supervisor of the Town of Riverhead, pursuant to Section 24 of the Article 2-B of the Executive Law of the State of New York, do hereby further extend and modify the Declaration ofa State of Emergency in the Town of Riverhead; and FURTHER, pursuant to Section 24 of Article 2-B of the New York State Executive Law, I direct that the Declaration of.a State of Emergency continue as amended: 1. That vital services of the Town of Riverhead shall continue, including those provided by the police department, sewer district, water district and sanitation department. 2. That Emergency Operations shall continue. 3. Except for those essential personnel in the departments providing vital services, all Town employees shall remain home through May 15, 2020. 4, Thatall meetings are cancelled through May 15, 2020, except as follows: ‘© Town Board Work Session scheduled for April 30, 2020 at 9:30am. ‘© Town Board Meeting scheduled for May 5, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. © Planning Board Meeting scheduled for May 7, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. 5. That the following Town park facilities will remain closed through May 15,2020. Baseball/softball fields Basketball courts Bathrooms Bocce courts Dog Parks Handball cours Hokey rink Pickleball courts, Playgrounds Shuffleboard courts Skatepark Soccer fields Tennis courts All neighborhood pocket parks 6. That the following Town park facilites remain open subject to safe distancing protocols through May 15, 2020. © Beaches ‘* Beach Parking Lots and designated beach permit parking areas (2019 Seasonal Parking Permit will be honored until further notice) © Open Space/park areas, including those at Stotzky Park, Bayberry Park, Ammann Park John Lombardi Park, the Sound Avenue Nature Preserve and Miamogue Point Park © Recreation Trail at EPCAL 7.
