This poem discusses the harms of war and terrorism and calls for peace instead. It describes scenes of violence, death, fear, injustice and immorality that characterize war. It references the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center as an example. The poem calls youth to wake up and take action to promote peace, love and wisdom instead of selfishness, arrogance, hate and war. It suggests that while soldiers may march to war and guns may kill, peace is still possible if people from all sides can join hands together.

PEACE NOT WAR Flesh and rage/ hunting in the streets of
United States,/ United Kingdom,/ Afghanistan and now Iraq.
Boom! Boom! Listen! Flesh, struggle and fear. And you will hear/ a cry of the trouble of our race, If one is sulky, So now! One is scorned. Elimenate all your senses, If one is not a noble, Talk/ and you will not be heard. One is peasant. For your rights/ are separated from the others, There are drug abuses,/ sex and injustice, Behold/ for the riches of life were broken. And the only thing that rules the earth is/ IMMORALITY. Because we are dreamers! Stop! Shhhhhh! Silence! This hatred, hatred, hatred! For the end may come. You,/ who did cause for the voices of the youth. Voices are not made to speak the truth, Youth,/ who had the right to behold for the unity, But to shout/ and scream. And progress for the future year. Eyes are not made to see the reality, It’s time to wake up! But to hide the fact/ and cry and weep. It’s time to do something, And the hands are not made to reach out, And the clock is ticking, But to fight instead. And the time will be over and then... This is not yet over, Selfishness, This is chaos. Arrogance, This what we call/ WAR. Hate, Injustice, It was day of infamy,/ Pride, Last September 11,/ 2001. War, When an airplane,/ Kindness, crushed its way into human life. Respect, The United States of America’s,/ Love, World Trade Center shuttered. And at last! Boom! Peace... Tranquility and harmony/ were lost, Their lives were gone/ in just blink of an eye. Its peace and wisdom we want, Mothere’s died, Like a steel pad/ that serves us onits step. Father’s vanished, Leaving on its promised land, And brother’s suffered. May that be all? Living no space/ but distress, It needs to embrace the true vertue/ of And pieces of mind and soul. Peace and love. Guess what the cause is? Soldiers/ may march towards the war, TERRORISM! Guns/ may kill millions of men. Brought by the power/ of indespicable greed. Homes may be shattered, This is the beginning/ of the Third World War, And lives may be called in danger. Or this the featured prophecy/ of Nostradamus. But one thing is for sure! Forbid though in this world, This is not the end, Were everyone/ is divided by one. There is hope. That separetes east and west/ through religion, We,/ the youth,/ lay here, And all living creatures that exist. And wake up in the advent/ of war process. Came from only one creator TERRORISM! Save our future, join hands together, Bloodshed, For what we want/ is PEACE, PEACE not War. Showering of bullets, Bombs and missiles, Biochemical weapons and death! LEGEND: /-pause ...-prolong
The story/ of why so many human beings,
Who were victimized/ and sought for moral righteousness Pronunciation TERRORISM! Starts walking on ice/ where beings die, Peasant - pez’ant In shivering cold/ and lose thier lives. Love - Get out of my life! Fact - I was there, Creatures - I was there, Rage - I was there!
