Monthly, which it’s success was followed by a series of technology based magazines and
cemented the brand as the leading technology publisher in the UK.
Dennis launched Maxim in 1995, which became the worlds biggest selling men’s lifestyle
magazine. In 1996 they acquired The Week.

Stats: 6th largest consumer magazine publisher in UK

Group turnover of £130m
In the four main areas: Current Affairs, Tech, Automotive and lifestyle they reach over 50million
unique users and sell over 2.5 millions magazines a month.

They aim to be the most dynamic international media group (dynamic definition: (of a process or
system) characterized by constant change, activity, or progress), and say that to do this they need the
most agile brands which are made up of

● Brands that stand the test of time and build their influence across every emerging platform
and technology
● Brands that continually reach out to new customers with their ever changing interests and
passions
● Brands with innovation, challenge and ambition at their core
● Being ‘brilliantly different’ (one of their slogan) means coming first wherever you innovate
Their main goals/ accomplishments with each genre of magazine include
● On course to become the UK’s number one automotive content provider (in terms of reach,
reputation and revenue)
● In current affairs their brands are the fastest growing in the UK
● In technology their brands are all pioneering the migration to online print and social, (supported
by the fact that all their magazines have very active social media accounts on almost every major
platform)
Values

Their profits go towards creating and planting the Heart of England of Forest, started by Felix Dennis
himself in the 1990’s and since became dedicated to planting a substantial native broadleaf forest in
Warrackshire, which has now over 1,874 acres of woodland. Planting proceeds at the rate of
approximately 300 acres per year. In the summer of 2013, the Forest hit a major mile-stone which was
the 1 millionth tree. By the end of the planting season in March 2014, another 100,000 were planted.
Their ambitious long term goal is 30,000 acres in the very long term as oak trees grow very slowly. This
Organization makes an impact to our present and future and will always carry a legacy of the brand which
will aid in keeping it timeless like their vision states.
