Objectives:

● I will locate information on orthopedic offices I can visit for my site visit

● I will contact an orthopedic office and set an appointment to visit

● I will talk to a professional orthopedic in order to gain insight on a possible

research topic

Journal:

So far, I have not completed too much work regarding my research project. I

know that I am interested in researching a medical issue (preferably about orthopedics),

and so I am currently in the process of finding an orthopedic office for our first site visit.

It’s only the second week of school, so I am actually proud of what I have accomplished

so far. I am very excited to begin this course and feel that I will learn so much! My topic

is nowhere being set yet, but I am looking forward to spending time and dedicating

myself to something for a long period of time. I have a feeling that this class will teach

me how to manage my time better, network and communicate with others effectively,

and step out of my comfort zone. The workload will be lots, but I am ready to take it on

and work hard! In order to accomplish my goals and objectives for the next two weeks, I

will have to be very organized. I have to make sure that I keep track of who I am

contacting for the visit, and assure that I keep in touch with them so I can schedule a

meeting. I am so excited to begin the process of my research project! I am in this class

to learn, become a more efficient student, and learn how to research at a deep level.
