Objectives:

● Email at least three more neurobiologists in hopes to find an advisor

● Complete another interview and turn it in
● Complete Chart Outline Organization

Journal:

The past two weeks have been very productive. I have been able to collect many more

resources for my paper. I have connected numerous articles to each other and am beginning to

feel in control of my project. I have structured the basic outline of my paper and actually have

three main ideas to focus on. Now, I have a direct purpose for the sources that I gather, instead of

searching for general information on “Neural-Artificial Intelligence” only. With this, I am

expecting to make deeper connections between my thoughts since I have an idea of the

organization my connections have to be in. Regarding the next two weeks, my hopes are to put

most of my effort into my paper outline organization. I am really pushing towards an organized,

clear layout of what I want when I actually have to write my paper. I do not expect to have a

final layout; however, I am hoping to have something close to it. I will also continue to search

for information to include in my paper and will make connections in order to understand it better.

Lastly, I am going to continue sending out advisor letters to neurobiologists and professors. I

have already sent out about fifteen and have gotten four responses. All four responses believed

that they were not the right fit; however, one did agree to a fifteen-minute interview. I am

planning on holding the interview next week, depending on their availability. I am so excited to

jump deeper into my project and am eager to see what I will find.
