Topic Proposal

Emotional Support Animals, or ESAs, need to be banned from public places. In recent

times, there has been a rise in emotional support animals, ranging from dogs to cats to even

peacocks, and that has been affecting the usage and performances of Service Dogs. This situation

would relate to its impact on healthcare. The communities that are affected by the rise and

mishandling of Emotional Supports Animals are Service Dogs and the owners that require

Service Dogs.

With this topic, I will be able to engage with it both persuasively and informatively

without bias. As an on the rise topic, this is something that there is much to learn about that I do

not already previously know. Much of the information that I am aware of regarding of the

situation is of that I have read on the internet, with people who have Service Animals who have

been negatively affected by people who take there Emotional Support Animals around with them

to places that they should not be. I hope to learn more about the topic and its affects

In regard to what research I may conduct or view for this topic, a primary source that I

may find is somebody who has or requires a Service Dog that has been affected by those who

have been irresponsible with their Emotional Support Animal. One major concern however is if

there is a lot of research in the field as it is rather recent.

If this topic does not work out for me, two other topics that I would be interested in

would be beauty and its dependency on media or “the rise of white supremacy in America.”
