* Telehealth
The Health Resources Services Administration defines telehealth as the use
of electronic information and telecommunications technologies to support
long-distance clinical health care, patient and professional health-related
education, public health and health administration. Technologies include
videoconferencing, the internet, store-and-forward imaging, streaming
media, and terrestrial and wireless communications.
Telehealth is different from telemedicine because it refers to a broader scope
of remote healthcare services than telemedicine. While telemedicine refers
specifically to remote clinical services, telehealth can refer to remote non-
clinical services, such as provider training, administrative meetings, and
continuing medical education, in addition to clinical services.
There are several other ways to define telehealth

*Ancillary Technology
Ancillary technology consists of providing an organization or system with the
necessary support to the operations or primary activities. Ancillary
technology in healthcare is used to improve a physician, dentist, or clinician’s
operational efficiency by streamlining all the secondary processes.
All medical providers around the world share similar problems like
dissatisfactory quality despite hard work, lack of skilled staff, and rising costs
of healthcare, in general. Leading healthcare organizations have tried
implementing several fixes like reducing errors, keeping a check on frauds,
prioritizing patient satisfaction, adopting the digital approach, and whatnot.
Unfortunately, none of them have worked to its full potential; it’s time for a
new strategy that transforms the core operations.
Ancillary services act as a suitable solution for this problem, as it provides an
overarching strategy to transform the overall operations and management in
healthcare organizations. It intends to increase the value of care, which
enables organizations to become more value-oriented and help them cater to
the interests and concerns of the patient.

*Wearable Technology
Wearable technologies can be innovative solutions for healthcare problems.
Wearable technologies enable the continuous monitoring of human physical
activities and behaviors, as well as physiological and biochemical parameters
during daily life. The most commonly measured data include vital signs such
as heart rate, blood pressure, and body temperature, as well as blood oxygen
saturation, posture, and physical activities through the use of
electrocardiogram (ECG), ballistocardiogram (BCG) and other devices.

*Care model innovation
Patients are no longer passive participants in their health care, they are
demanding transparency, convenience, access, and personalized products
and services. Care model innovation is expected to manifest itself in
numerous ways during 2020. Future-focused care models will likely leverage
people, process, and technology to address evolving individual and group
health needs.
*Real-time interactions & 5G
Another key trend in healthcare is real-time digital interactions. While video
calls are currently unreliable at best, online visits may soon be possible
thanks to 5G. The roll-out of the instantaneous web connections that 5G
enables will make it possible for patients to be treated remotely through their
computer or mobile device. And even though they’ll be sharing their health
data online, online appointments may feel more personal as they involve
human interaction in real-time. This can make patients less hesitant, even
though control is in the hands of a machine. A variety of publications in
the UK and US substantiate this particular trend in healthcare towards online
doctor’s visits as enabled through faster 5G technology.
