This study aimed to specify the operational standards of drug abuse treatment and

rehabilitation centers in Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to: 1. determine the management

styles and procedures of selected drug abuse treatment and rehabilitation centers in

Cavite in terms of: a. maintaining their facility as patient-friendly; and b. attending drug

dependent individuals; 2. identify the most common problems encountered by the

participating drug abuse treatment and rehabilitation centers; and 3. determine the

measures employed in overcoming these problems.

The researcher focused on the operational standards of selected eight drug abuse

and treatment rehabilitation centers in Cavite. The researcher conducted her study from

the month of December 2018 to April 2019. The researcher conducted an interview with

a total of eight participants; from a corresponding rehabilitation center.

The method used in gathering data was qualitative research. The researcher

prepared interview questions relevant to the study. After the data gathering and the

analysis of its results, the researcher discovered that the common problems that the

rehabilitation centers encountered were mostly about the behaviour of the clienteles,

maintenance of the centers and water shortage. The researcher also found out that each of

the participating rehabilitation center has its own approach in terms of resolving the

common problems encountered.
