GANGTOK – SIKKIM
Gangtok is the capital and largest town of the Indian state of Sikkim. Gangtok is located in the Shivalik
Hills of the eastern Himalayan range, at an altitude of 4,715 ft. The town, with a population of thirty
thousand belonging to different ethnicities such as Nepalis, Lepchas and Bhutia, is administered by
various departments of the Government of Sikkim. Nestled within higher peaks of the Himalaya and
enjoying a year-round mild temperate climate, Gangtok is at the centre of Sikkim’s tourism industry.

Day 1: Reach Mumbai by late night Asiad, Fare @ Max = Rs.200/-.

Guwahati Express : Mumbai to Jalpaiguri :

Sleeper Fare: Rs.504/-, 3AC Fare: Rs. 1388/-

8:05 am – reaches 1:10 am (3rd day early morning)

Day 3: Gangtok is 148kms from Jalpaiguri. Shared cabs charge Rs.155/-

per head. Buses also available, 3 - 4 hours Journey.
Hotel Check in. Rooms Available from Rs.350/- to Rs.1500/- & Up.

Day 7: Check out – Reach Jalpaiguri Railway Station till evening.

Have a sumptuous dinner. Catch Ghy Ltt Exp-5646 at 1.10am which
reaches Mumbai on next day @ 10pm Fares: Sleeper Rs.508/-, 3AC
Rs.1399/-. Catch the late night Volvo from Dadar @ RS.250/-. Reach
Pune @ 3 am.

Day 11: Ready for work, or rest for the day with some vodka n ice.
