Summary of Disaster/Incident:
Corona Virus Disease 2019 was declared a pandemic and a Public Health Emergency of
International Concern (PHEIC). The 1st Local Transmission was recorded on March 7, 2020,
thus, President Rodrigo R. Duterte declared the Philippines under State of Public Health
Emergency.
In response to the approach of the National Government, the Provincial Government of
Aklan thru Governor Florencio T. Miraflores issued Executive Order No. 19, Series of 2020 on
March 15, 2020 restricting the movement of the people and regulating the entry of goods as well
as mandating Social Distancing Measures for the management of COVID-19 in the Province of
Aklan.
