We, Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences students at University of Santo Tomas - Senior
High School, are currently undertaking a qualitative study titled, Historical Understanding
through Film: Emphasis on Lessons about the Martial Law Period as a partial requirement
of the subject Inquiries, Investigations and Immersion (III). Primarily, this study aims to
investigate the role of film as a supplementary educational tool in students’ understanding of
historical lessons and events.

Corollary to this, you have been chosen to participate in the study. I humbly request permission

the objectives of the study.

Attached is a copy of the research questions and the (survey-questionnaire/ interview
