AND NOTICE TO CANDIDATES FOR SUBMISSION OF OFFLINE APPLICATION AND
OTHER DOCUMENTS

It is for information of all candidates who had applied in response to above referred
advertisement notice for Group ‘C’ post of Lower Division Clerk for Postgraduate Institute of
Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, followed by Notice No.PGI/RC/010-
011/2020/726 dated 14.02.2020 for conduct of Computer Based Test (CBT) for the said post that
result of online examination (CBT) held on 16.03.2020 at various examination centres, for short-
listing of the candidates as per the prescribed criteria in the said advertisement has been declared
and uploaded on the website of the Institute. The candidates can check their result in the link
provided on the website of PGIMER i.e. www.pgimer.edu.in by filling his/her roll number and date
of birth in the column provided in the link.
On the basis of online examination (CBT), the candidates bearing following roll numbers
have been shortlisted for further stages of recruitment process which involves ascertaining of the
eligibility and skill test as per applicable recruitment rules of the concerned post as given in the
above referred advertisement. The result has been shown roll no. wise and category wise. The
marks secured by the last shortlisted candidate in each category have been shown in brackets:-

Criteria adopted for short-listing:-


1. For posts carrying skill test = 5 x total posts + ties (plus reserved candidates
above lowest cut off of UR category).
2. Minimum qualifying criteria = 40% marks for General category.
35% marks for SC/ST/OBC category.
Note for PH: The respective category i.e. UR/SC/ST/OBC/EWS of PH
candidates is not known to PGIMER at this stage. Therefore, minimum qualifying
criteria of 35% has been used for the purpose of short-listing of PH candidates.
However, based on actual category i.e. UR/SC/ST/OBC of PH candidates, the
minimum qualifying criteria as prescribed for UR/SC/ST/OBC in the
advertisements shall be followed for determining the eligibility of PH candidates,
who have been shortlisted as above.

Candidates should note that the result is merely a list of those candidates who have been
shortlisted on the basis of computer based online examination as per the criteria prescribed in the
advertisement notice. The Institute has not so far verified the details like age, qualification,
experience etc. as required under recruitment rules for the posts. Therefore, inclusion of a name in
the list should not be taken as a selection for the above posts. Selection to the posts will be done
only amongst eligible candidates (as per recruitment rules) on the basis of merit in marks obtained
in the written examination.

Therefore, all the shortlisted candidates are informed that they have to apply afresh in the
prescribed application form which can be downloaded from PGI website www.pgimer.edu.in and
send the same alongwith self attested copies of all certificates in support of educational qualification

(from Matric onward), category, experience, if any prescribed under rules of the concerned post,
original copy of challan fee etc., so as to check their eligibility for the above said posts. Shortlisted
candidates will be required to furnish the following certificates/testimonials alongwith their offline
application:-
(a) Duly filled in application form.
(b) Original copy of challan for deposit of application fee.
(c) Print out of the online application form.
(d) Self attested/attested copy of mark sheet of Matric, 10+2 and other higher qualification
as per requirement of the recruitment rules of the post concerned.
(e) Self attested/attested copy of experience certificate(s), wherever required.
(f) Self attested/attested copy of caste/category certificate viz. SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD.
(g) OBC certificate should be in the prescribed format (as per Annexure ‘A’ attached
herewith) and should not be older than one year from the closing date of submission of
the online application.
(h) No Objection Certificate from the present employer in case a candidate is working in
Govt./Semi Govt./Autonomous Body etc.

Note: (i) The shortlisted candidates while forwarding their offline applications should
ensure that they have filled in all columns and no column of offline
application should be left blank. They should also ensure that they have
attached self certified/attested copy of all documents in support of age,
educational qualification, experience certificate and category certificate etc.
The applications/documents furnished after the prescribed due date for
submission of offline application will not be considered and the candidature
will be decided accordingly and no correspondence in this regard will be
entertained.
(ii) Candidates should note that the experience certificate(s) in support of the
experience wherever prescribed should reveal clearly about the dates &
period during which the concerned person has worked on a post(s), nature of
duties performed, post held and pay scale, etc.

All columns of the application form are to be filled in and no column should be left blank.
No further addition or deletion in the application form will be allowed. Entries filled in the
application form, duly supported by the relevant certificates will only be considered. The
applications complete in all respect and accompanied with all the certificates must reach the
Administrative Officer, Recruitment Cell, PGIMER, Sector 12, Chandigarh-160012, India
through speed post/registered post/by hand on or before 15.05.2020 upto 4.00 PM. No
application received after this date i.e. 15.05.2020 will be entertained and candidature of such
applicants will be treated as cancelled. The candidates are, therefore, advised to apply as soon as
possible so that their applications must reach the Recruitment Cell, PGIMER, Chandigarh well
before the last date. The Institute would not be responsible for postal delay due to any reason. The
envelop carrying the application alongwith testimonials/documents must be clearly subscribed in
capital letters the name of the post applied for.

On receipt of applications of shortlisted candidates, the scrutiny of these applications will be


done for verifying the eligibility of candidates for the posts by the Scrutiny Committee of the
Institute. The scrutiny/eligibility will be determined as per the recruitment rules/guidelines/detailed
information as notified in the advertisement and the documents submitted by the candidates. No
further correspondence will be entertained in this regard and no document will be entertained later.

The candidates will be selected on merit basis and the list of selected candidates will be displayed
on the Institute’s website i.e. www.pgimer.edu.in. Therefore, candidates are advised to visit PGI
website frequently. For any query, candidate may contact Administrative Officer, Recruitment Cell
personally or through Telephone No.0172-2755579 on any working day between 02.00 PM to 04.00
PM.
