Market Research aims to understand the reasons why consumers will buy your
product. It is one of the most important part of doing a business plan. We have decided to
Paul and Harris Cafe is one of the famous cafes in Poblacion, Ibaan, Batangas. It is
profession. It is the only cafe in the municipality that offers brewed coffee. We have
interviewed Mrs. Caringal regarding the business and why she decided to venture such
business. Considering Batangueño’s love for coffee, she wants them to taste brewed
coffee from high quality beans which made her pursue the business. Their target market
is people of all ages and their goal is to offer a place where people can relax and do
whatever they have to do while having coffee. They started the business with a large
capital, and she said that she can’t say that it is already successful because they are still
working on improving every aspect of the business, and that offering good service is
what they are after and not profit. One of their business strategies is giving it a name that
is already familiar with people. The cafe is named after Paul Harris, the founder of rotary.
They are the only cafe that offers brewed coffee the area so the only competitors that they
have are the few milk tea shops nearby. The barrier that they have encountered in the
business is the supply because they buy their products from Manila.
We have also interviewed the crews of the cafe. They said that the cafe is open from
7 AM to 11 PM.
We have also interviewed some of the customers of the cafe. First is the group of
three students who went to the cafe to study. They said that the cafe is the best place for
them to meet up and study because of the cafe’s relaxing and peaceful ambiance. They
live around the area which made it more convenient for them. Their favorite in the menu
are milk tea and frappe. According to the group of four people who came to the cafe after
Sunday mass, they are regular customers of the cafe and they first knew about the cafe
through word of mouth. What they love about the cafe is the ambiance the the quality
service it offers. Next, we interview a family who also came after the Sunday mass. They
live in Pasig and came to Ibaan for the mass. They saw the cafe while passing by, so they
decided to try it out. Their favorite in the menu is the tuna pesto. We have also
interviewed a couple who came to the cafe because they can’t meet up in Lipa due to
Buling Buling. The girl is a regular while it is the boy’s first time in the cafe. They knew
about the cafe because the girl’s dad is a friend of the owner. Their favorite in the menu
the cafe for a business meeting or for her work because the cafe’s ambiance is peaceful
that made it the best place for business meetings. Her favorite in the menu is coffee.
Some of the customers we have interview said that the reason why they love the cafe are
the delicious foods and good service it offers. It is cozy place and it is open from 7 AM to
11 PM which makes it a perfect place for breakfast and late hangout. Most of the
customers said that they knew about through word of mouth, and through facebook.
