Bloodthirst

Ryan Buddenbohn
The sun streaks in as beams,
giving the room a heated charge.
The darkness haunting like adhesive,
as I feel my life is false.
I forge a smile,
waiting for the water that extinguishes.

The sun, setting and extinguishing,

desperately clings to the sky like adhesive.
The terror inside me starts to smile,
but I push it aside and presume it as false.
My eyes develop a charge,
and my mouth becomes a beam.

I go down, swiftly, similar to a beam,

and the devious grin you provide is false.
Your emotions, like adhesive.
You sit there in tedious pleasure, loaded with a charge.
I wait for your feelings to extinguish,
but I plaster on a concealed smile.

You sit on your throne of desire, smiling,

as my body is plastered to your demons, charged.
Your insides take over, and my worries are extinguished,
the feeling no longer false.
My movements dart, similar to a beam,
as I stumble to adhere.

I yearn for your adherence,

but you retort and swiftly smile,
awaiting for me to return the charge,
as I stare in wonder at your entrancing beams.
Whatever we had is now extinguished,
what was once true is now false.

The devil believes it isn’t false,

as he consumes my mind and forces me to smile.
Angels try to extinguish,
but he still adheres,
shocking my body with a bloodthirsty charge,
as I stride to your house like a beam.

The daggers cut swift like laser beams,

as my distraught words stick like adhesive.
The devil teases with a smile,
inviting me to take charge.
Your fake life is extinguished,
true, not false.
