EPITAXY ENGINEER

CrayoNano is a nanotechnology company founded in 2012 out of leading research at the Norwegian

Position

As a senior epitaxy engineer you have a central role in the epi-growth and characterization team. You
will be responsible for developing growth studies and set up methods for advanced nanoscale UV
LED device characterization and analysis. This includes staying updated on the most recent advances
and methods within III-N epitaxy, developing new and improved growth recipes and analyzing and
documenting the results in a comprehensive manner. Close collaboration with the
process/production team is also required for optimal development progress.

Furthermore, an important part of the job is to ensure that the required maintenance of the MOCVD
equipment and connected labs is performed in a timely manner.

Who are we looking for?

You are a highly self-motivated, independent person who is used to take charge and guide and help
teammates. You can be relied upon to see projects delivered on time and budget. With broad
knowledge in advanced III-V MOCVD epitaxy of thin films and/or semiconductor nanostructures, you
have at least 5 years’ experience in addition to an M.Sc. in a relevant field. In addition, you have
several year’s hands on knowledge of growth development and/or LED device characterization from
industry. In particular, UV LED experience is highly merited. Previous experience with Veeco MOCVD
tools is preferred.

You are a team player who is excited to become part of an energetic start-up and are not afraid to
help with tasks that lie outside of your usual responsibilities and comfort zone when needed.
