others see us. It also refers to how we think, feel, and react to
our own perception of our physical attributes. Positive body
image is important for good mental and physical healthy.
Negative thoughts about one’s body image can lead to low self-
esteem and mental health conditions including disordered
eating and depression.

Ten Tips for Positive Body Image

1. Think positive thoughts about yourself.
2. Remind yourself of all the things your body can do
3. Keep a list of things you like about yourself
4. Surround yourself with positive people.
5. Follow Instagram accounts or Facebook posts that inspire you. Daily
reminders will allow you to be thankful for all the things you already have in
your life.
6. Focus on other activities besides your weight like reading, drawing, and
talking with friends. The number on the scale doesn’t determine yourself
worth.
7. Compliment people on other things besides their weight. Treat others how
you want to be treated.

you to physically feel more comfortable in your skin.
9. You are one of a kind, don’t compare yourself!
10.There is only one of YOU! Remember how unique you are.
