Color:
Color is what your eye receives when
light hits an object and bounces of going
into your eye.
Lines:
Lines can take many forms, curved, straight,
zig zag, vertical, horizontal and diagonal.
Lines can create a directional flow in your
work and make the viewer look somewhere
you need them to.
Shapes & Form:
Pattern & Texture:
Pattern: Design or layout repeated

Texture: The way a surface feels


Proportion and Scale:
Proportion: The divide between weight and
objects in the image

Scale: The overall size of a design


Radial Asymmetrical

Balance:
Elements placed within; in a symmetrical form
across the entirety of the image. Vertical or
Horizontal

Symmetrical
Harmony:
A feeling of everything coming
together as one and working nicely
Emphasis:
Focal Point, or the point your eye should
be drawn to in an image. There are many
techniques to achieve eye direction
Rhythm:
Repeated lines, shapes, color
in a pattern creating a flow
