My presentation

Rationale
- in September I didn’t have much knowledge about photography or anything
else, for example I had never used photoshop or a real camera.
- However, since our rotations, I’ve learnt a lot of new things which could
potentially help my final piece.
- I enjoyed photography the most, which is why I thought it would be the best
one to pick as it would be the most interesting.
- I can now use a camera and photoshop with confidence, which will help my
FMP be the best it possibly can.
- The rotations definitely helped me as it gave me an insight to what each
subject would consist of and which one I’d enjoy the most.
- I have learnt lots of new things, and think that overall my confidence has
grown and this has taught me to step outside of my comfort zone and do
things I wouldn’t of necessarily done if it weren’t for the workshops.
 Project concept
- my main idea is the theme of social media and technology.
- I think I can deliver this in a effective very way and show how
much technology and phones are such a big part with kids
nowadays.
- I am going to use my sister or my friends because I mainly want
girls in my project.
- I’ve done some artist research on photographers to give me a bit
of an idea.
- I want my pictures to look natural and to have a nice spacious
natural background, for example a field.
- I would like the weather to be good purely so I can sort of show
off summer fashion.
- I don’t want to over edit my pictures as I think that it could ruin
them but I will add some effects on photoshop and change the
Annie Leibovitz
- she is an American portrait photographer.
- She was born on the 2nd of October 1949
- Best known for her engaging portraits which
are often taken in intimate settings and
poses.
- Her work has been used on numerous
magazines and front covers.
- She photographed John Lennon on the day
he died.
- I believe this is a good artist to use for
inspiration as I am going to be using people
in my pictures so that will include portraits.
Imogen Cunningham
- Imogen Cunningham was born on April 12th
1883 and died on June 23rd 1976.
- She was an American photographer.
- Best well known for her industrial landscapes
and nature photographs.
- She was also in a group which was best known
for its ‘dedication to the sharp focus of simple
objects’.
- Imogen is a very good inspiration in my opinion
because I want to use a nice nature
background with a lot of trees and fields.
Practice
- For this piece of work I think I will have to go to a
spacious, aesthetic place I can use as my
background and do multiple shoots there.
- I will use my camera on the setting AV and have
the iso on 400 with a high aperture.
- I will probably use my sister for these pictures
and have her using her phone or taking pictures
to create my ideas.
- I will also use photoshop to edit these pictures
when I’m happy with them.
