Exercise 2.2 Expansion & Simplification of Quadratic Expressions
 Read Multiplication involving one variable given on pg.
Text Book 46 to recap this concept learned in previous classes. Test
yourself by solving Textbook page 53 Exercise 2A Q2a-d
just to revise the concept as it will be of use in this exercise.

 Read and comprehend Expansion & Simplification of

Quadratic Expressions given on pgs. 46 &47. Also go over
Textbook pages 46-47 examples that explain expansion of
quadratic expressions in the form a(b+c),
 In general, a(b+c) = ab + ac & a(b-c) = ab – ac this is
known as the distributive law

Read and comprehend the following Worked examples,
they explain the application of distributive law:

 Study the structure that each page has in a Word
document. Try to describe this structure. Maybe the
students will mention the title, the introduction, the main

 Now, make some questions in order to realize what
headers and footers are and when we use them. Some
of these questions are:
o What information can we type in headers and
footers?
o Why do we type this information in headers and
footers and not in the body of the page?
