Science
As an assistant coach, my duties were to engage youth in developing
athletic skills related to their positions while learning to have a good
time, respect their opponent, and strive to be their best both on and off
the field. As a Full-Inclusion Assistant, my duties were to assist in
providing modifications, accommodations, and other educational
services that were beneficial to the student(s) I worked with and to
help promote an inclusive environment based on acceptance and
open-mindedness. As a student teacher, my duties are to establish
and maintain a positive learning environment, promote student thinking
about scientific concepts, and foster personal development within
every student.
Key Skills Classroom Management
Classroom Management
Organization I have experience in thinking about and creating a plan for
Curriculum Planning classroom management based on educational theory and
Communication principles. This includes how to manage teaching with regards to
students of all different types of backgrounds and learning needs.

Organization

I have experience in staying organized throughout a school year of


teaching. This includes filing papers properly for grading and storage,
being prepared with materials for classroom curriculum and materials
for student and teacher use, and also keeping track of students needs
regarding absences, class/homework, as well as accommodations
and/or modifications required for students with specific learning needs.

Curriculum Planning

I have experience in creating and teaching curriculum based on


Next Generation Science Standards. Student centered learning
and hands-on investigation, explanation, and making connections
about observable phenomenon are at the core of how my units and
lessons are planned.

Communication

I have experience in establishing and maintaining open


communication lines between myself and students,
parents/guardians, and other staff members. This includes
answering questions via email, phone, or in person with regards to
classroom expectations, accountability, grades, class/homework,
and cooperation.
