together MIT’s innovation ecosystem
and a community of Members to fund
and support these entrepreneurs to help
them drive lasting, transformational
impact.
HOST A SOLVEATHON
A Solveathon is a high-energy workshop focused on rapid
ideation, refinement, and prototyping of solutions to one or
more open Solve Global Challenges. A Solveathon can be
held virtually or in-person to:
• Generate, iterate on, and test ideas for social impact
• Foster a culture of innovation through experimentation
and collaboration
• Expand a community of social impact innovators
Solveathon participants work together to generate and
refine solutions and share feedback on technical
approaches, business models, and solution pitches.
Every idea developed and refined during a Solveathon is
submitted on Solve’s open innovation platform and has the
opportunity to be considered for selection.
Workshop length, size, and structure are customized to
achieve a host’s specific objectives. Participants range from
20 to 120, and length can range from 3 hours to a full day.
Facilitators are trained by Solve to direct the discussion.
Worksheets, handouts, a run of show, and a facilitator guide
are provided and customized for the host by Solve.
