NARRATIVE REPORT ON SIMULTANEOUS SCHOOL-BASED CONDUCT OF THE

NATIONAL EARTHQUAKE DRILL

Earthquake is one of the common disasters that caused to people to die or

injure. It cannot be detected when and where it would happen to anyone. This mostly
happen in places where people are hanging around and working. Earthquake is
understood as a natural phenomenon caused by the constant movements of the earth’s
crustal plates and due to climate change.

The third drill was conducted on August 16, 2019. The drill started at 2:00 pm
with a 1-minute standard alarm system. The time recorded for the occupants to leave
the building was 4 minutes. The DRRM Coordinator took the initiative and clearly
instructed her colleagues to remove all obstructions. Afterwards, the evaluation was
given by the DRRM Coordinator.

This time, it is evident that the learners had already understood the importance
of the drill and the things they need to do. Followed with the same procedure of the drill
and all important measures, pupils are already equipped on how to respond quickly and
immediately.

All the activities were safely and successfully done.
