Vasuna’s Simple Bazi Formula for the

Evaluation of the Strength of the Chart

 Štirje stebri usode
 Bazi, Štirje stebri usode
This is a formula for an easy evaluation of the strength of the Bazi chart. DM (Day Master aka
Day Heavenly stem) is also counted! The ratios between the heavenly stems and hidden stems
are simplified, but calculation is quite accurate if you know how to use it. Calculate the relative
values of the supportive camp + DM.

 If supportive camp + DM reach below 20% of strength, this is a follow chart (below
10% this is a real follow and between 10 and 20% this is a fake follow);
 If supportive camp + DM reach between 20 and 40%, this is a standard weak chart;
 If supportive camp + DM reach between 40 and 50%, this is a neutral chart, where
special rules of QTBJ and DTS have to be used to prevent static forces (for example:
Ding fire is moved away from the static situation, if there are Jia or Geng in the pillars);
 If supportive camp + DM reach between 50 and 80%, this is a standard strong chart;
 If supportive camp + DM reach above 80%, this is a dominant chart (above 90% this is
a real dominant chart and between 80 and 90% this is a fake dominant chart).

There are also much more simplified models:

 There are models, which give equal scores for all the first hidden stems in the branches,
equal scores for all the second hidden stems in the branches and so on. These models are
faced with major mistakes in assessing the real strength of the chart.  In Shen branch, for
example, the energies are more diverse than in Wu branch. So the first hidden stem Ding
in the Wu branch is much stronger than the first hidden stem Geng in the Shen branch.
 In the second group there are models, which are focused on the pre-fixed sum.
Calculations in all the cases, for example, give us 105 scores. These models are also
faced with major mistakes in assessing the real strength of the chart, because clashes and
combinations really do change the quantity of energy in the pillars. Many models from
the first group have this sort of mistake, too.

There is another challenge in the assessing the strength of the chart. Between the stems and
branches there are various flows. Some people say that we have to look at the flow, not for the
strength. But this is actually the same.  When you are looking at the flow, you can see, how one
element get stronger and another one get weaker, and at the end you have the picture which
element is the strongest, where the chart is challenged etc. MY FORMULA ALSO DOESN’T
COVER THESE IMPORTANT CHANGES, CAUSED BY THE FLOWS (additional
formula must be used for these adjustments)!

Cumulative strength and weakness in the case of the 10 year luck pillar and even annual
pillar can be calculated with my formula, too. With these calculations and adjustments (for
combos, clashes and flows) one can find out that a slightly weak chart might become neutral
or even strong chart in some circumstances. And vice versa: slightly strong chart might
become neutral or even weak.

The same principle should not be used for transitions between very weak charts and follow
charts or for transitions between very strong and dominant charts. These charts go to the
extremes and the addition of  the 10 year luck and annual luck normally can’t make these
transitions real. If you have dominant power, you can enchain your enemies. Even if they
become stronger, they are still enchained, but can make many troubles to your guards. And on
the other side: if you are extremely weak and you’ve got tied up, you will not be able to untie
yourself only by getting stronger again, if monitored by strict guardians which prevent the
approach of your friends. These situations rather mean very stressful life for such DM, because
rebellion could be severely punished.
As you can see, the year pillar gets much less scores than hour, day and month pillar. This is
because the year’s energy is more dispersed and more distant to the DM. So it is not present in
one’s life to the same scale as the day, hour and month pillars do.
