Subject Instructions for End Semester Exam 2020

Subject Name – Strategic Human resource management (MBAEH18404)


Mode of exam - Case based Assessments
Date of Exam- 05-june 2020
Time: - 11 am to 1pm

 I will send you the case sharp at 11 am.


 Kindly solve the case study given in the exam using theoretical concepts and models.
 Please read all the notes thoroughly which were sent you earlier. It helps you in solving the case
study.
 I will provide you two case studies in the paper, kindly read the case thoroughly and solve it
within a time frame.
 You need to send me the case by 1 pm; I will give you 15 minutes tolerance time, to keep the
fragile situation in mind. I will not accept your submission after 1:20 pm in any case, and your
attendance would be mark as absent.
 I know you all will do good, I have a full trust on you guys. Rock it.

General Instructions for End Semester Exams (Regular) Jan-June 2020

1. You are well aware that Jagran Lakecity University has decided to conduct online exams using various
modes including, but not limited to, assignments, viva-voce, presentations, course projects, case studies,
MCQ based questions, and open book exams. You have received the timetable.

2. Individual faculty members will reach out to you with the details and instructions specifically related to
the mode of the exam concerning their courses.

3. Kindly ensure that your official email and phone number are correct on our record. Also that you are a
part of official WhatsApp Group for your class. In case you are not receiving our emails, please reach out to
admin office Mr. Ziishaan Khan, and faculty who teach you for an update. If you are not a part of official
whatsapp group, join in.

4. Students with ATKT/Backlog online exams apply to these exams as well. Faculty are trying to reach you
with emails we have. If you filled in the form, you must have received email via ERP too. Kindly get in
touch with the faculty proactively.

5. Please ensure that you have a smart phone or a laptop and a reliable internet connection. In most of the
cases this should suffice. Please note that these technological requirements are not any more demanding than
what we expected during online classes. We thank you for joining in then.
a. We encourage you to ensure an additional smart phone is kept on standby on exam days. Also ensure that
your device(s) are adequately charged. Individual instructor for a specific course may specify additional
technology requirements.
6. Should technology prevents you from participating in the exam, you may appear in the exam as and when
university can hold exam in person on campus. Please note that given uncertainty surrounding COVID-19
lockdowns, it is not possible for us to specify any firm date at this point in time.

7. If technology requirements for a course are unmanageable and you wish to not participate in that exam
please let your respective faculty (who are giving you the exams) know by May 18 th 2020. If a faculty does
not hear from you, he/she would presume that you would participate in the exam, and technology
requirements are not prohibitory. Any non-submission and failing to participate then would be treated as an
absence from the exam.

8. In case of an open book exam


a. You will receive exams via email/official WhatsApp group or method pre-specified by a professor on the
specified time and date. You will be able to download the exam, write it and upload/email back.
Uninterrupted connectivity may not be necessary. Kindly reconfirm with course level instructions from
individual faculty.
b. If you cannot type, you will be able to take photo of your handwritten exam, or scan it and email/upload as
instructed by the faculty.
c. You can refer to any notes or books but if the answer is copy-pasted it will be awarded 0 marks. We will
be checking your answers for plagiarism.
d. Any unreasonable similarities in short or long essay answers across students appearing in the same exams
will fetch penalty in extreme cases 0 marks would be awarded to all concerned.
9. You may be given a specified time limit or deadline of various sorts related to submissions. Please stick to
specified time and date for submissions. Late submission may result in non-acceptance of your exam. Kindly
refer to individual faculty instruction in this regard.

10. On any submission please ensure that you mention the following:

c. End Semester Exam Jan-June 2020: Date:
d. Your JLU ID:
e. Your Roll Number:

11. You will soon receive course specific instructions in advance from respective faculty. Kindly reach out
to them should you need clarifications. They may be able to organize a zoom/skype call to provide
clarification ahead of the exam.
