MY PURPOSE IN LIFE

What’s my purpose in life? Well this is a tough one. I’ve been thinking and day dreaming
the whole day, asking myself, ano nga ba? Everytime I think of it, my parents were always the
first person that pops on my mind. Every word I could imagine, it is as if everything is something
I could relate to them- to become successful, to finish my studies, to graduate. Reflecting it all
again, no, my purpose doesn’t stop there.

Fine, we all want to finish college with high honors, that’s given. We all want to become
successful in the future, well that’s common. Maybe some of us in the class wants to become a
doctor some day, but that doesn’t stop there. It will never stop there. If I were to think practically
then all of the things said above is something I want to attain, a goal I want to achieve someday.
Upon asking myself a lot of times there I realized that there is more to what I think of what my
purpose is. It is not just about the material things we can attain, it is more of the values, lessons
and life itself.

Now I can finally answer the question I’ve been thinking the whole time. My purpose in
life is simple, just like everybody else first is to graduate. May it be with high honors or not,
basta grumaduate. Second is to find a good job. I always wanted to become a doctor but if not
then a stable job will do. Next is to find for a lifetime partner and have a family of our own. Now
this is where the whole purpose thing starts. For me, my purpose here on earth is to share the
values, experiences, life learning and a lot more that I knew from my parents to my future
children. That’s how I look up to my parents, they raised me and my siblings so well that when I
grow up, If I were to become a parent as well, I want to become just like them. They are not
perfect but they tried and gave their all to let us become who we are now. They molded us to
become great parents just like them. And yes, that’s my purpose; when I’m old, I will never
worry about how my children will raise theirs, because from then on, I know I did my purpose
very well because I learned from the best.
