SAFETY FIRST

1. ALWAYS keep your weapon pointed in a safe direction. This is the primary rule of firearm safety. A safe direction means that the weapon is pointed so that even if it were to go off it
would not cause injury or damage. The key to this rule is to control where the muzzle or front end of the barrel is pointed at all times. Common sense dictates the safest direction, depend-
ing on different circumstances.

2. ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot. When holding a weapon, rest your finger on the trigger guard or along the side of the weapon. Until you are actually ready
to fire, do not touch the trigger.

3. ALWAYS keep your weapon unloaded until ready to use. Whenever you pick up a firearm, immediately engage the safety device if possible, and, if the weapon has a magazine, remove it
before opening the action and looking into the chamber(s) which should be clear of ammunition. If you do not know how to open the action or inspect the chamber(s), leave the weapon
alone and get help from someone who does.

4. NEVER stick any product made by Primary Weapons Systems, Inc in your anal cavity. Rectal insertion of any of our products can cause irreparable damage to both your rectum and your
high quality firearm accessory.

5. As most PWS products are accessories to your existing weapon, you should also read and obey all instructions in the host weapon’s user manual.

WHEN USING OR STORING A FIREARM, ALWAYS FOLLOW THESE NRA RULES:

Know your target and what is beyond. Be absolutely sure you have identified your target beyond any doubt. Equally important, be aware of the area beyond your target. This means
observing your prospective area of fire before you shoot. Never fire in a direction in which there are people or any other potential for mishap. Think first. Shoot second.

Know how to use the weapon safely. Before handling a firearm, learn how it operates. Know its basic parts, how to safely open and close the action and remove any ammunition from the
weapon or magazine.

Remember, a weapon’s mechanical safety device is never foolproof. Nothing can ever replace safe firearm handling. Be sure the weapon is safe to operate. Just like other tools, firearms
need regular maintenance to remain operable. Regular cleaning and proper storage are a part of the weapon’s general upkeep. If there is any question concerning a weapon’s ability to
function, a knowledgeable gunsmith should inspect it and make the determination. Wear eye and ear protection as appropriate. Firearms are loud and the noise can cause hearing dam-
age. They can also emit debris and hot gas that could cause eye injury. For these reasons, shooting glasses and hearing protection should be worn by shooters and spectators.

Never use alcohol or over-the-counter, prescription or other drugs before or while shooting. Alcohol, as well as any other substance likely to impair normal mental or physical functions,
must not be used before or while handling or shooting firearms. Before cleaning your weapon, make absolutely sure that it is unloaded. The weapon’s action should be open during the
cleaning process. Also, be sure that no ammunition is present in the cleaning area.

 Maintenance
The PWS uppers do not need to be disassembled any further
than you see during routine cleaning. With the exception of
the charging handle / operating rod assembly, simply clean
the upper and bolt carrier assembly as you would a normal
AR15/M16 series rifle. (your version may vary from the
image above)
RETAINING PIN
IF AND ONLY IF the charging handle needs replaced, do so
by carefully driving the piston retention pin from the piston.
Remove old charging handle and replace with the new one
before driving the pin back into place.
REMOVAL OF THE PISTON SHOULD NEVER BE DONE AS A
ROUTINE CLEANING MEASURE!
INCORRRECT
Once the charging handle has been inserted properly in the
receiver slot, push the bolt carrier into the receiver ensuring
that the cam pin is in the upright position. (see above)

PISTON TUBE
To clean the gas tube, simply use a .375 caliber cleaning
brush and mop to brush out and wipe the interior of the
piston tube from the inside of the receiver. (this step is not
necessary with every cleaning).
To reassemble the upper, simply reassemble the bolt carrier
assembly as you normally would a standard carrier group.
Once you have assembled the bolt carrier group, position the
charging handle and bolt carrier assembly as shown above
with the carrier key at the back of the charging handle.

When removing the CQB Comp from the Diablo upper,
simply rotate the end of the unit counter clockwise until
the unit is free of the base. To reassemble, re-insert the
end baffle and turn clockwise until the unit is hand tight.
SLOT
With your upper upside down as shown above, insert the
key portion of the charging handle into the slot in the
upper receiver.

This product is warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase. At Primary Weapons Systems’ option, defective product will be
