Building Self-Confidence

Preparing Yourself for Success!

It's not always easy to be confident in yourself, particularly if

you're naturally self-critical, or if other people put you down.
Self-confidence is understanding that you
trust your own judgment and abilities, and
that you value yourself and feel worthy,
regardless of any imperfections or of what
others may believe about you.
Confident Behavior

1. Doing what you believe to be right, even if others

criticize you for it.

2. Being willing to take risks and to go the extra mile to

achieve better things.

3. Admitting your mistakes, and learning from them.

4. Waiting for others to congratulate you on your

accomplishments.

5. Accepting compliments graciously. "Thanks, I really

worked hard on that prospectus. I'm pleased you
recognize my efforts."
How to show Self-Confidence

1. Body language
2. Face to face communication
3. Meeting Short-Term Challenges to Your Self-
Confidence
4. Reviewing Past Achievements
5. Setting Confidence-Boosting Goals
