A) Introduction [CE 1.1] The work activities were conducted in the electrical engineering domain. Name of Project: 3-Phase Induction Motor Modelling Duration: [Date] – [Date] Location: Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College, India Position: Electrical Engineering Student B) Background [CE 1.2] The most robust and broadly utilized motors in the industrial sections are the induction motors. The motors modeling is adequate for showing the induction motors behavior and the modeling of the motors typically required in the fault, voltage drop, transient analysis and control applications calculations. An alteration of the variables typically applied for reducing the equations complexity because of sorting the 3-phase induction motor differential equations complexity. 3-phase windings typically reduced to the 2-phase windings set in the technique and the 3-phase induction motor rotor and stator variables were transferred mainly to the d-q model reference frame. It worked with the rotation at the specified angular velocity. This technique is the efficient technique in executing the IM equations. [CE 1.3] The project was the analysis and modelling of the 3-phase induction motor in which the induction motor d-q model was effectively utilized as a technique to sort and analyze the induction motor performance. I presented the step by step method of implementing the MATLAB model of the 3-phase induction motor star-connected under the open-phase faulty condition utilizing the d-q model approach. I simplified the technique in one block and made it present for the controlling purposes. I obtained the simulated results which provided the 3-phase induction motor star-connected behavior under the condition of open-phase fault and it was attained using electrical engineering expertise. [CE 1.4] I executed the steps using my electrical engineering knowledge and the star-connected mathematic model of the 3-phase induction motor was executed under the open-phase fault. I conducted the faulty 3-phase induction motor simulation based on the Matlab model and worked on checking the performance of the overall design. I analyzed the model using electrical engineering knowledge and obtained the results.

Career Episode 2 Design of Unipolar PWM Inverter A) Introduction [CE 2.1] I executed the technical project in the electrical engineering field. Project Name: Design of Unipolar PWM Inverter Duration: [Date] – [Date] Location: Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College, India Position: Electrical Engineering Student B) Background [CE 2.2] There is the adequate increment noted in the power engineering related to effective energy solutions. Electrical power is usually works with the electronics components with the aim of attaining the higher efficiency and lower power loss. There are many applications of the modified electrical energy in which the power electronics implemented. High voltage transmission lines and low voltage cellular devices are the typical examples of it. In power electronics, efficiency works in a significant manner whereas inefficient modules work results in the wasted energy along with higher costs in the overall system. [CE 2.3] The project work was the designing and implementation of the pulse width modulation (PWM) inverter. I implemented the inverter as the unipolar converter. I obtained the steady state single-phase sinusoidal 60 HZ AC voltage output from the DC input. It worked as the basic DC- AC power converter which was built in 3 separate phases mainly integrated at the end. I split the inverter into the firing circuit, control unit, and the H-bridge. I used the PWM approach for controlling the frequency and the output amplitude with the utilization of the reference signal. I avoided the technique of using the transformer and it was mainly due to the higher power losses in the transformer. I tested the work and obtained the results with the completion of the PWM inverter circuit. [CE 2.4] The technical work nature mainly split into various sections for obtaining the objectives related to work and made continuous electrical engineering skills usage for getting the results within a defined project timeframe.

Career Episode 3 Bridgeless Boost Rectifier for Low Voltage Energy Harvesting A) Introduction [CE 3.1] The project was done in electrical engineering field. Project Title: Bridgeless Boost Rectifier for Low Voltage Energy Harvesting Duration: [Date] – [Date] Location: Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College, India Position: Electrical Engineering Student B) Background [CE 3.2] For low energy harvesting applications, a single phase ac-dc brushless boost rectifier was proposed. There was the requirement of energy harvesting for low voltage with the conventional bridge type boost converters and it needs more components which lead towards suffering from high power loss and need more energy storage components number such as capacitors and inductors. For boost operation or buck-boost operation, conventional converters were modeled. [CE 3.3] The proposed converter operation is analyzed using MATLAB/SIMULINK environment both open loop and closed loop conditions. I worked on the converter which overcame the conventional converter drawbacks. I also proposed the converter detailed analysis which included the buck-boost and boost operations. [CE 3.4] The nature of work was the implementation of bridgeless boost rectifier mainly for carrying out the low voltage energy harvesting and it was mainly linked with using Electrical Engineering skills in the entire work tenure.
