While working for the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office at the county
jail, in May of 2013 I earned a position on the Special Detail Team (SDT)
109 E Adrian Drive now called Special Response Team (SRT). The SDT handled violent
Robinson, Texas 76706 inmate, calls for use of force, and community issues where law
enforcement support was warranted such as the fertilizer plant
(254)640-4553 explosion in West, Texas in 2013 and the Twin Peaks biker shoot out. In
October of 2014 I was promoted to the supervisor position of Corporal
on an assigned shift where I supported and managed the daily
john.robinson63012@gm operation, safety and jail procedures of staff and inmates. I also

became a on the job trainer for the county jail where I trained new
employees how to do the job while staying in compliance with the
United States of America constitutional amendments, U.S./Texas penal
codes, and the McLennan Sheriff’s Office procedures and policies.
Communication
I believe that anyone can learn and does have the potential for
intelligence. I believe it takes effective, content-rich, and high-quality
instruction to learn. I believe it is essential that people be informed,
and that clear and effective communication is the key to success. All it
takes is commitment, integrity, and sincerity. Effective communication
requires at least two people. It is even more effective with a
collaborative effort from educational professionals, students, and
parents. Much of communication today is digital and sometimes
impersonal. Charles Dickens stated, “Electric communication will never
be a substitute for the face of someone with their soul encourages
another to be brave and true.”
Leadership
To be a great leader one must be a great follower. I believe as an
educator I will lead my students towards their futures. I have
experience in positions of leadership in my professional life, in my
spiritual life leading people to Christ through information and my
example, and in my personal life as a husband and a father. They are
all equally important. Yet, no position of leadership will have more
importance than that which guides those who call me, “Dad.”
