I was contact by John Robinson who asked if I would be a professional reference and write a letter for him.
First of all, let me say that I consider this a request as an honor and a privilege to do so. John came to the
Sheriff`s Office in 2011, throughout his employment I was his immediate supervisor for most of the time.
John was always very dependable and dedicated to his job. It takes a special person to supervise and
manage incarcerated individuals and John was always up for the challenge and met our expectations.
Corrections Officers are usually assigned to a housing unit and expected to perform duties with little or no
supervisory staff. John was one we never had to worry about and always got his task done in a timely
matter. I can honestly say I have ever seen John get angry or lose his temper even having to deal with some
of our most challenging offenders. He always kept a cool head about him and was able to diffuse most
situation by merely talking to the offender. John has expressed to me his desire to be an educator and while
I do not know all of the qualifications or what is required I will say that he is very dedicated, hardworking,
trustworthy and I would consider him a viable candidate for your department.
