IV. COURSE DESCRIPTION :
The course introduces the students on the basic concepts and principles of electricity specifically electron theory,
electric charges, magnetism, electromagnetism, electricity generation, electric circuits , ohm’s law, Electric power, the DC
series circuit, DC parallel circuit and DC series-parallel circuit, the Resistance-Inductance circuit, Inductance – capacitance
circuit, inductance-Resistance- capacitance circuit, the fundamentals of generators and alternators, electric motors in DC and AC.
Basic wiring installations in a residential house which includes estimation, installation, connection, checking and troubleshooting
of related circuits.
