SUBJECT: CLARIFICATIONS ON FLOWSERVE GENERAL PURPOSE PUMPS

1. 088-P-006A/B – Condensate Pumps

 As per page 3 of 7 of specification 088-SP-0910-006_A the pump differential
head should be read as 9.58 kg/cm2 instead of 7.28 kg/cm2. The differential
head shall be 99.8 m and pump discharge pressure shall be 9.763 kg/cm2g
instead of 7.46 kg/cm2g. Vendor has offered differential head of 75.91 m
against 99.8 m. The NPSHA is approximately 1.8 m. The vendor to confirm
the offered pump model, pump performance curve and selected motor power
is suitable for these conditions mentioned in specifications?
 The offered material of construction for casing and impeller is SS 316 as
against Carbon Steel mentioned on page 3 of 7 of specification. And what is
shaft material? Why it is deviated?
 What is the offered mechanical seal flushing plan? As per specification page
6 of 7 it is Plan 23.
 Can vendor provide some mechanical device like inducer inside pump to
reduce the NPSHR requirement? If so provide optional price for inducer of
this pump.
2. 088-P-010A/B – Bearing Cooling Water Sump Pump
 Vendor has offered material code of “ST”. Please clarify what is this material.
Specification page 3 of 7 material of case/impeller both carbon steel. And
what is shaft material?
 As per page 3 of 7 the pump type is “VS4”. Vendor to mention type of pump
offered.
 Page 7 of 9 of offer says, Mechanical Seal configuration: Single Mechanical
Gas Seal whereas per specification 088-SP-0910-010_A, no such
requirement is mentioned. Please clarify.
3. 088-P-001A/B & 088-P-002A/B – Acid Gas KOD Pump/SWS Acid Gas KOD Pump
 Vendor has offered material code as “A-8”. Please clarify what is this material.
Vendor offered A 351. Per specification 088-SP-0910-001/002_A both casing
and impeller to be SS 316 and Shaft SS 316.
 Why impeller diameter of this pump P-002A/B is more than P-001A/B?
