 Carla O'Connor holds a BFA from Kent State University,
Kent, Ohio and is a signature member of American
Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, and
Northwest Watercolor Society. The AWS Silver Medal is
among her awards. She has taught workshops across the
U.S. and abroad and created the DVD "The Process - Figure
Design in Gouache" available on her website. O'Connor’s
work has appeared in numerous publications including The
Art of Watercolour (France) and The Artist’s Magazine. She
was the Grand Prize winner in the American Women Artist
2019 Spring Online Juried Show and in 2018 exhibitions
including top awards at the Collective Visions Gallery in
Washington, The International Society of Experimental
Artists and The Northwest Watercolor Society. She has
participated in six exhibitions in China and her painting
“Bellissime” was purchased for the Shenzhen Art Museum
Permanent Collection. She served as Chairman of Awards in
2008 for the AWS International Exhibition and as a Juror of
Selection for NWS in 2010 and AWS in 2020
