PEDAGOGY AS A PROCESS 2

Purpose Statement

The creation of this portfolio has deep meaning about my philosophical underpinnings as

a 21st century educator. This portfolio encapsulates my development during the Post Graduate

Diploma in Education Programme. The structure is designed to display the various facets of

teacher education, which established the foundation for good teaching practices. It provides

evidence of my progression as an effective educator and demonstrates my ability to exhibit

effective lesson planning and lesson execution in providing effective and meaningful learning

opportunities for my charges.

In an era where technology have evolved into the conventional nature of learning

discovered in various aspects of my learning in the programme, it is imperative that these

methodologies, pedagogical structures and assessments dictate the way we plan, create, deliver

and evaluate quality educational experiences for our students.

Compiling this document will serve as vindication of the journey I pursue in grooming

myself into the quality educator that I someday hope to be. Each experience in this Diploma in

Education Programme have provided me with new knowledge and materials in my pursuit of

excellence. Herein lies artefacts and introspective analysis of the quality of work I have

developed through my experiences in this course of study.
