Why I chose this project:
● By joining PreMed, I wanted to explore various
healthcare careers. I have always wanted to see what
it was like to work in a hospital

● Nursing is a very important career that deserves

more recognition

● I knew there would be a lot to learn and a lot of

unique experiences
My Mentor:
● Charlene has been in nursing for 10 years and counting
and loves what she does
● Varying role of lead nurse vs nurse
● Goes over reports
● Rounds on patients
● General organization and management
● She taught me how nurses do their jobs properly and well
