The NMIMS Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce (ASMSOC) is a path breaking endeavor in
undergraduate business education from SVKM’s NMIMS University. NMIMS is a premier University of
the country and is a preferred destination for aspirants desirous to pursue higher studies in its various
schools - Management, Commerce, Economics, Law, Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Aviation,
Distance Learning across Campuses in Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Shirpur.

The School of Commerce offers innovative programs in Commerce BBA, B.Sc Finance, B.Com (Hons.)
and BBA-MMS (5 year integrated) programs. With a view is to make students industry ready after
graduation, the thrust is to have a contemporary curriculum which is designed with the inputs of the
academia and industry professionals. The methodology is a mix of Case Study Discussions, Class room
debates, presentations and role play leading to stimulating classroom experience.

The BBA Program is ranked amongst the top 5 BBA Programs in India. Ranked 4th by India Today.

As a part of the admission process each year over 20000 aspirants pan India enroll for the NPAT
entrance exam to secure admission for the NMIMS graduate programs.

The batch comprises of students from locations across the country, with diverse educational
background thus leading to an eclectic group that excel not only in academics but also in various extra-
curricular activities thus leading to all round development. Some of the recent achievements are

 An ASMSOC student was featured in Hindustan Times Newspaper Front Page as one of the
India’s youngest CEO Entrepreneur.
 ASMSOC students participated in MUN Indore where Mr Kevin Gandhi (SYBBA) won the Best
Delegate Award. Mr Yatharth Awataney (SYBBA) received High Commendation.
 ASMSOC students participated in the Debate Competition at NIRMA University, Ahmedabad
from 19th to 21st 2014. Mr Yash Rupani won the award for the best speaker in the entire
tournament.
 ASMSOC students featured in Outlook Money issue of May,2016 highlighting their success
stories after completing the course.

The NMIMS School of Commerce, Mumbai had an exceptional Final Placement season this year with
the participation of premier companies from various sectors offering niche profiles. The recruits
profile saw a mix of traditional companies and a good percentage of first time recruiters. BFSI and
Consulting marked their presence with most number of offers. Internship also witnessed enthusiastic
participation from a number of companies offering innovative projects. BFSI & IT/ITES were the
leading sectors.

A good number of Campus Engagement activities were carried out that gave companies a glimpse to
the excellent student talent pool and also provided students opportunities to learn from industry
stalwarts
