General Instructions

1. This tender exercise will be conducted on an online Ariba platform. The entire event will be managed by SEPRO (Sarawak Energy
e-Procurement) Team. Tender details are available for viewing at http://www2.sesco.com.my

2. Please note that all Tenderers are required to register in SEPRO to participate in this tender. If your company is not registered in
SEPRO, please allow ample time to complete registration. Vendors can self-register to SEPRO via the URL provided:
http://bit.ly/register2SEPRO. The registration is free of charge.

3. Interested Tenderer that meets the eligibility is required to do the following steps:

4. Tenderers shall attend the briefing and site visit held as follows. Tenderers who failed to attend the briefing and site visit may be

ONLY shareholders, directors or Company's authorized personnel (thru company's authorization letter) shall be allowed to attend
the Tender briefing and Site Visit (if necessary).

All tenderers must bring along Original Copies (for verification) of Company Registration (Form 24 and Form 49) or Form I
(The Businesses, Professions and Trading Licensing Ordinance) and Company Official Stamp during the Tender Briefing.

5. Tender documents can only be accessible to the Tenderer after registration.

DESCRIPTION / SPECIFICATIONS
The Services to be provided by the Service Provider include the following:

Travelling Band Screen Sump Cleaning and Inspection


1. To do necessary preparation for work (including scaffolding, enclosing etc.)
2. To isolate the sump isolating gate and pump out the water from the required sump.
3. The contractor shall ensure the gate is fully isolated or otherwise do whatever is
necessary to prevent excess leakage from the gate including hiring divers if necessary.
4. The competent divers should dive inside the water sump (depth is 14m) in order to
clear and remove any object or gravel which stuck on the isolating gate base in order
to check and ensure that the isolating gate close properly with no major water leakage
5. The contractor shall provide THREE fully functional 4” submersible pumps with
sufficient head and capacity along with its outlet hose to drain the water in the
corresponding sump of 14m deep
6. The contractor shall commit themselves to fully drain the water in the sump within 36
hours from the time of the closing of the gate
7. The contractor shall supply competent manpower (Authorized Entrant/Standby
Person for Confined Space) for any works involving in Travelling Band Screen Sump
8. To carry out inspection, cleaning and removing of any debris or objects from the sump
9. The contractor shall standby their own winch and pump enough to pump water out of
the sump for standby purpose in case of passing water from the gate during the
inspection and cleaning
10. To carry out inspection, cleaning and removing of any debris or objects from the fix
screen.
11. A comprehensive written and before/after picture report of the work shall be
submitted after the work is done upon submitting the invoice to SPC for the service
acceptance
12. The work shall be completed within 3 days from the closing of the isolating steel gate
13. To perform housekeeping after completion of the work.
14. The cleaning shall cover 3 sets of Travelling Band Screen sump on Phase 1 and 3 Sets
of Travelling Band Screen on Phase 2 at frequency of 3 times a year.

Condenser and Secondary Filter Cleaning and Inspection

1. SPC may request the CONTRACTOR for immediate mobilization of manpower for
cleaning ( within 48 hours) in the event of an urgent requirement.
2. To do necessary preparation for condenser and secondary filter cleaning
3. To erect scaffolding platform to access the front and rear condenser manhole
4. To open the condenser and secondary filter casing manholes
5. The contractor shall supply competent manpower (Authorized Entrant/Standby
Person for Confined Space) for any works involving in condenser and secondary filter
6. To perform the cleaning of both condenser titanium tube and secondary filter by using
water jetting method
7. To perform visual inspection of the equipment conditions and to furnish a complete
picture report upon inspection
8. To close the condenser manhole and secondary filter casing manhole upon completion
of the work
9. To dismantle the scaffolding erected after the units has been put in operation
10. To perform housekeeping after the completion of the work
11. The cleaning shall cover 2 sets Condenser with Secondary Filter on Phase 1 and 2 Sets
of Condenser with Secondary Filter on Phase 2 at frequency of 4 times a year.

Sarawak Energy shall provide to the Service Provider the following, for the purposes of
providing the Services:
a) General lighting, electric supply for in-house small tools and water for washing.
