Para comparar cosas, lugares, ideas o personas usamos los adjetivos como base.
ADJECTIVES:
1. Look at the figure… which one is the difference between the list of adjectives in each
page of the book?
(¿Mira el dibujo… cuál cree es la diferencia entre las dos listas de adjetivos presentadas en
cada página del libro?)
The difference is that the first list of adjectives is used to describe places or things and the
second list is used to describe people

2. Read the next dialogue and underline the comparatives you find. (Lee el siguiente
diálogo entre el profe de sociales y sus estudiantes y subraye los comparativos que
encuentre) hint: There are 8
Charles: In my opinion Africa is more interesting, Africa is better because I love wild animals like
lions, elephants and giraffes. I love Africa!
Anne: Oh yes I saw a TV program about Africa, about the life in the Kalahari Desert.
Edward: I prefer the American continent; I think it is more beautiful than the rest.
3. Now is your turn tell me which continent is bigger, hotter, more beautiful, more
interesting. (Ahora es tu turno, dime cual continente es más grande, más caluroso, más
bonito y más interesante)
The continent more beautiful and more interesting is America, because this continent has
many animals, really beautiful places, beaches, amusement parks and lots of nature.
4. Ahora cuando queremos destacar 1 cosa en medio de tres o más usamos los
SUPERLATIVE ADJECTIVES
Complete the sentence. Use the superlative form of the adjectives. (Complete las
oraciones. Usa la forma superlativa de los adjetivos)
a. It´s Ana´s birthday tomorrow. She is the happiest (happy) girl in the class
b. Brazil is the biggest (big) country in South America
c. I think America is the best (good) soccer team in Colombia.
d. I am the strongest (strong) person in the world
